BladeWareStudio

Meet Diverse Voice-Application Needs with the Only Service Creation Tool Developed for OEM™

Picture your ideal voice application development environment. What does it look like? Which standards and speech technologies does it support? Can you adapt it to meet customer requirements or incorporate company best practices for reuse? Now picture this: Commetrex BladeWareStudio was specifically created to provide voice platform and solution providers with the ideal service-creation tool—one that offers robust application-development functionality out of the box, yet is flexible enough to be quickly molded into the solution you would build if you were building one on you own

Built for the Way You Do Business
BladeWareStudio enables users to more easily develop, manage, and publish speech-enabled and touch-tone voice applications. The graphical drag-and-drop interface abstracts developers from standards such as VoiceXML, speeds application delivery, eases modifications and supports rapid prototyping.

BladeWareStudio’s intuitive interface enables non-technical users to quickly develop applications that take advantage of the latest standards and speech technologies. Common call flow steps are represented by drag-and-drop icons and wizards expertly guide users through tasks, such as the recording (or mapping to) voice prompts in speech-enabled applications.

Customization and Extensibility
In addition to private labeling BladeWareStudio with your look and feel, the interface can be quickly extended to integrate existing management systems and proprietary data stores. From a functionality standpoint, developers can enhance Commetrex’ collection of packaged call-flow steps with custom steps that encapsulate company processes or enable capabilities outside the scope of VoiceXML. Furthermore, any Commetrex-defined component can be quickly adapted to include a Java-based pre- or post-step action, such as capturing an event log for security or compliance purposes.

By defining a custom step, an implementer introduces new functionality into BladeWareStudio. A custom step appears in the BladeWareStudio Toolbox and is manipulated just like pre-defined steps. When creating a custom step, an implementer defines the input requested from the user, the behavior of the step as part of a larger application, and the VoiceXML structures generated when the step is translated to VoiceXML.

Easier Support for Evolving Standards
BladeWareStudio makes complying with the latest standards versions nearly effortless. With each software upgrade, new applications immediately reflect code changes, while existing applications can be re-rendered with the click of a button. BladeWareStudio service creation and code generation are independent, so development work is protected as existing standards evolve and as new standards emerge.

Commetrex removes the need to concentrate resources on constantly evolving standards. We are a supporter member of the VoiceXML Forum and are represented on a number of committees, as well as being actively involved with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
