LANSource Supports Commetrex PowerFax M-Series

San Diego, CA, August 2, 1999 - LANSource Technologies, Inc. (Toronto, Canada) and Commetrex Corporation (Norcross, GA) announced today at Fax Directions/Messaging World '99 that LANSource has incorporated support for Commetrex' PowerFax M-Series fax board into LANSource’s latest FAXport® product.

FAXport satisfies the differing needs of the enterprise and the workgroup. The enterprise requires centralized control over usage, costs, and security, but the workgroup needs local administration, ease-of-use and high functionality. FAXport meets both of these sets of needs and offers versatility and cost savings associated with sharing lines and devices.

The PowerFax M-Series boards offer world-class performance at prices substantially less than the industry norm. The M-4, with four loop-start interfaces is $2,100, the M-8 is $3,500, the M-T1 24-port integrated T1 board is $9,500 and the M-E1 30-port integrated E1 board is $10,400. DID interfaces are optionally available on the M-4 and M-8. FAXport can take advantage of the DID option to automatically route incoming faxes to a particular user’s desktop.
