Commetrex offers free, T.38 interoperability testing to any developer wishing to achieve interoperability
between Commetrex' TerminatingT38™ product and any other field-tested T.38-based system. Interoperability
problems are often caused by different interpretations of the T.38 recommendation. For example,
do sequence numbers continue to increase from negotiation through image transfer or do they reset
to zero with the image? How are the most significant bits and bytes ordered? These are simple
problems, but they are enough to hinder interoperability. Although they are easy to change, they
are tough to find.
Commetrex' centralized testing facility, combined with unparalleled experience in interop testing, accelerates
interoperability, and findings are communicated to participants without compromising any confidences.
TerminatingT38 allows Commetrex' T.38 Lab engineers to terminate hundreds of T.38 sessions into one
medium-speed PC. And it's heavily instrumented, so there is no doubt as to what's going on during a session.
A participant's trace is also analyzed, and advice provided as to what equipment may be causing a problem.
Interoperability success is often achieved within two to 10 days.

Mike Wells, lead engineer for the T.38 Lab, oversees all interoperability testing.
