• The C64x DSP cores build upon a legacy of eight code-compatible, fixed- and floating-point devices, offering performance headroom while protecting code investment. 
• The C64x DSP core will include a range of code-compatible power/price/performance options.

Commetrex will also use the 'C64x's power to bring the carrier-equipment industry the first open-architecture "any-media anytime" communications processor which provides unprecedented densities on a CompactPCI hot-swap board. Single-board densities of up to 510 low-bit-rate vocoders and V.90 modems are anticipated.
