TI’s code-compatible next-generation C6000(TM) DSP core, the C64x(TM), is the world’s highest performance and easiest-to-use DSP, delivering fast time-to-market for performance-intensive applications.
  • The C64x DSP cores extend the world’s highest performance DSPs to 1.1GHz/8800 MIPS/4400 16-bit MMACS. 
  • The industry’s best C compiler delivers over 80% of the performance of hand-coded assembly. 
  • The C64x DSP cores build upon a legacy of eight code-compatible, fixed- and floating-point devices, offering performance headroom while protecting code investment.

Commetrex and TI's new C64x(TM) DSP and C55x(TM) DSP cores

As the leader in integrated-media technologies, Commetrex will develop two new open-architecture products that leverage the new industry benchmarks set by the MIPS:power ratios of the 'C64x DSP cores. These products solve two problems that have perplexed the communications industry for years.
